The PICO-IMX7 based on the NXP i.MX7 multimedia processor is a purpose-built, small footprint hardware platform equipped with a wide array of high-speed connectivity engineered to support IoT endpoints, wearable applications, appliances, drones or industrial mobile terminals.

The i.MX 7Dual family of processors represents our latest achievement in high-performance processing for low-power requirements with a high degree of functional integration. These processors are targeted towards the growing market of connected devices. The i.MX 7Dual family of processors features our advanced implementation of the ARM® Cortex®-A7 core, which operates at speeds of up to 1 GHz, as well as the ARM® Cortex®-M4 core. The i.MX 7Dual family provides up to 32-bit DDR3L/LPDDR2/LPDDR3-1066 memory interface and a number of other interfaces for connecting peripherals, such as WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, displays, and camera sensors.

The affordable reference design is compatible with Intel Edison baseboards and adds a number of additional high-speed signals such as PCIe, RGMII LAN, USB as well as 24 bit TTL Display, LVDS, HDMI and MIPI CSI Camera and MIPI DSI Display options.
